Beautiful jewellery handmade in England

Form Bespoke Jewellers are highly recommended for our bespoke handmade jewellery and top quality British craftsmanship. We think it is important for you to know how and where your ring or fine jewellery piece is created. This includes where the precious metal or gemstones have been sourced, and also where the craftsmanship has taken place.

Ethical British jewellery

Created right here in Yorkshire

Our jewellers at Form Bespoke Jewellers have decades of experience of working at the bench. They have seen what has happened to the manufacturing of jewellery over the past 25 years.

A lot of the large production workshops have been closed down in the Yorkshire area (and throughout England). Consequently, this means that most retailers are now buying their stock from mass-manufacturers abroad and the Far East. In our opinion, this isn’t without its draw-backs. The quality, colour, styling and finishing of the jewellery can often not be up to UK (and our) standards.

Every piece of bespoke jewellery sold by Form Bespoke Jewellers is designed, created and finished by our small team of highly skilled jewellers. All at our workshop and showroom in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, West Yorkshire. From start to finish the jewellery is created in England by hand. This ensures there is no compromise to employee welfare or to the environment. We use reputable UK based casting companies who have responsible sourcing policies. In order to offer our customers choice, a small amount of unfinished component pieces are bought in from reputable UK suppliers. Nevertheless, the finishing process is again carried out at our Leeds workshop.

Everything sold by Form Bespoke Jewellers has been created in the most responsible method possible. You can read more about our ethical creative process and Fairtrade Gold options, here.

Ensuring long-lasting British quality

Rhodium-plating

One thing to be aware of when buying jewellery is its finish, particularly with white gold. All 18 carat white gold is rhodium plated. This means that once the piece of jewellery has had its final polish, rhodium plating is applied. This coats the original metal with a bright white finish. However, the plating is only fine and does wear off over time, revealing the true colour of the metal underneath.

We hear people say that they think their jewellery is tarnishing and discolouring. In actual fact, it’s the white rhodium plating that has worn away. At Form Bespoke Jewellers, as all our production is done in England. We ensure that the metal is always to the highest British standards. The true colour of our metal is whiter than some that can be found abroad. So when we’ve rhodium plated our 18 carat white gold, and it does start to wear thin, the difference in colour isn’t as noticeable.

For peace of mind, we also offer a complimentary aftercare service for all our bespoke jewellery. This allows you to have your jewellery re-plated, cleaned and polished if you feel it needs it. All free of charge!
