This beautiful engagement ring is set in 18ct white gold with a tactile rounded shank. The customer also chose a modern rub setting to keep the tactile style running throughout the design.

In the images below, you can see (in the setting) that there is a top bezel and bottom bezel with a ‘gallery’ in between. This allows for extra light to enter the 0.75ct round brilliant cut diamond and give it extra sparkle. This was a stylised decision made by both the customer and jeweller together.

The design included a deep shank that tapered in to a half collet setting. This was to provide a bold frame for the diamond was also drawing the eye to the solitaire stone. A half collet setting allows extra light to enter the diamond through it’s open sides too, so it was all about picking the perfect diamond!

An 18ct white gold open claw setting was used for the diamond. This allows for a great amount of light to enter the diamond and in turn creates lots of sparkle! The bright white of the metal also compliments the white solitaire stone beautifully. The diamond was hand set by one of our expert jewellers here at Form Bespoke Jewellers.

To contrast, the band of the ring is cast in 18ct yellow gold which could be considered as a traditional design choice. However, the white gold contemporary setting then gives this engagement ring a stylish modern twist!
