The customer came to us looking for an elegant twist on a traditional cluster engagement ring. They knew they wanted a classic halo design but wanted to stylise the setting a little more.
At the centre of the design is a deep blue oval cut sapphire. Surrounding this bold and beautiful stone are 12 round brilliant cut diamonds. They have been grain set by hand, but also flush set up to an intricate basket which also holds the diamonds. You can see the basket in more detail below.
The neat edging of this design creates a beautiful scalloped border around the entire halo of precious stones. The open setting on the basket also allows extra light to enter the sapphire and diamonds.
Extra detailing has also been added on the band with a subtle indentation that runs around the centre of the shank and pretty scroll details on the shoulders. The final piece was a very beautiful engagement ring!
