Platinum lab diamond solitaire engagement ring
This minimal, contemporary engagement ring incorporates an impressive 2.7 carat round brilliant cut diamond in a six claw setting on a platinum band. Although it isn’t unusual for customers to come to us with gemstones or diamonds they already own, on this occasion the customer came to us with a large lab-grown diamond—not something we deal with on a regular basis. Lab-grown diamonds are diamonds that have been grown by scientists in a laboratory. They share the same chemical makeup as natural diamonds, and are optically identical. They are less rare than natural diamonds created in the Earth’s mantle but are considered to be more ethical as they don’t need to be mined.
