silver Rustic gents wedding ring
The customer came to us with an image they had found on the internet of a silver ring with a rugged, worn finish. They were looking to recreate the design in a stronger precious metal with a few more personalised touches, to create a bespoke wedding ring.
After sitting down with one of our expert jewellers, they decided on a wide band that would be firstly designed on CAD, then worked on at the bench to create a more textured finished. Once the CAD design was approved, the wedding ring was cast into palladium, a durable metal of the platinum family but which is more cost effective.
Finally, rather than polishing the ring to a flawless finish, it was worked on by hand using a hammer and barrelling technique which created the dramatic uneven surface and brushed appearance. A unique and organic-looking wedding ring.
