This minimal, contemporary engagement ring incorporates an impressive 2.7 carat round brilliant cut diamond in a six claw setting on a platinum band. Although it isn’t unusual for customers to come to us with gemstones or diamonds they already own, on this occasion the customer came to us with a large lab-grown diamond—not something we deal with on a regular basis. Lab-grown diamonds are diamonds that have been grown by scientists in a laboratory. They share the same chemical makeup as natural diamonds, and are optically identical. They are less rare than natural diamonds created in the Earth’s mantle but are considered to be more ethical as they don’t need to be mined.

Yellow and white diamond engagement ring

The customer came to us with a unique and stunning idea for an engagement ring - a yellow and white diamond engagement ring!

They chose to have the solitaire centre stone as the coloured diamond, so our expert jewellers sourced a selection of yellow diamonds for the customer to choose from.

Once they had chosen their perfect yellow diamond, a selection of ten matching round brilliant cut white diamonds were chosen for the shoulders of the 18ct white gold band.

The yellow diamond centre stone is set in a tension style, allowing most of the diamond to be seen. The white diamonds on the shoulders are grain set to add extra detail.

A stunning, contemporary engagement ring; using colour to create a bespoke design. The customer was very happy with the final result, as were we!

This beautiful and bespoke engagement ring is all about the emerald! As a bespoke jewellers, we were able to source a selection of emeralds for the customer to view. They then hand picked their perfect stone - an emerald cut, bright green stone.

A neat four claw setting was chosen to hand set the stone into. Simple and classic, it shows off the facets of the emerald beautifully.

The customer also chose an 18ct yellow gold, traditional court band to complement the emerald's rich tone.

Solitaire Tanzanite Engagement Ring

This solitaire tanzanite engagement ring brought rich colours with a contemporary design.

The customer came to Form Bespoke Jewellers wanting to create an engagement ring featuring a coloured centre stone. A selection of Sapphires, Aquamarines, Blue Topaz and Tanzanite were sourced by our expert jewellers for the couple to view.

Once the customer had decided on this beautiful 8 x 6mm oval tanzanite, we created this contemporary rub set solitaire ring design. 

Tanzanite is a stunning gemstone, which is only found in one place in the world, Tanzania. It has a deep purple blue colour. In this case, the rich colour is further enhanced by the 18ct yellow gold setting. A stunning engagement ring!

The customer sent us a card to let us know what they thought of their rings; "Dear Gary, Thank you so much for all the care and attention you gave us when you designed our beautiful tanzanite engagement ring and wedding rings. They are truly stunning and you helped us out so quickly - from June to July, for the August wedding! Everyone admired them. Purple Sapphire Engagement Ring

Sapphires come in many other colours, other than the well known blue! So why not a purple sapphire solitaire engagement ring?

This customer knew that they wanted to feature a purple or pink toned stone in a clean and simple style setting.

The team at Form Bespoke Jewellers spoke to our reputable precious stone suppliers and presented the customer with a selection of stones varying in colour and price. The customer chose the purple sapphire option and selected this stunning 4mm round brilliant cut to be set into a palladium design. The shoulders of the ring were intentionally left unset at this stage so that, following the proposal, the newly engaged fiancé could also be part of the bespoke process by having them stone set to suit their style.

The combination of this rich coloured stone against the cool tone of the palladium metal is truly stunning! Small round brilliant cut aquamarine semi precious stones were added to the shoulders of the ring at a late stage further enhancing the contrast of cool and warm colours.

A bespoke sapphire engagement ring

Form Bespoke Jewellers handmade this bespoke sapphire engagement ring in our Chapel Allerton studio, Leeds.

The customer was looking for a unique solitaire engagement ring with some extra sparkle and decided on a sapphire centre stone.

Our expert jewellers sourced a selection of cushion cut sapphires of varying colour and clarity for the customer to choose from. In the end, they selected this beautiful medium blue sapphire.

The platinum band was chosen to have tapered shoulders where a selection of round brilliant cut diamonds (that decreased in size towards the head) were then hand set. The sapphire centre stone was claw set in a 4-claw setting.

The chosen design was then hand carved and cast in platinum and then the couple choose a 0.50 carat brilliant cut diamond to feature as the solitaire centre stone. The setting on this engagement ring was also chosen to be open at the sides to allow light to flood the diamond.
