The customer also decided on the precious metal (yellow gold), the width and the profile of their engagement ring. Once back from the casters, our expert jewellers hand set, finished and polished the ring and the customer was thrilled with the final result. A beautiful solitaire engagement ring.

Palladium round cut sapphire solitaire engagement ring

The customer came across this half collet design whist looking at Form’s collection on our website, which had been designed originally to be set with a diamond. We arranged for them to come in and discuss the options available as they were looking to create an engagement ring with a coloured precious stone.

The team at Form Bespoke Jewellers worked with this customer to find the perfect sapphire, sourcing different colours and sizes to be sent in for them to view. They chose this stunning 6.3mm round brilliant cut blue sapphire weighing 1.36 carats.

The ring was then cast into palladium, set and hand finished by the team at the Chapel Allerton workshop in Leeds. The combination of the blue sapphire and half collet setting looks stunning as it allows plenty of light into the stone which we think sets off the colour of the sapphire beautifully.

The client came to us looking for a bespoke, simple and tactile engagement ring that featured a pretty solitaire pearl.

Working alongside our expert jewellers and after visiting our Yorkshire studio for inspiration, this dainty twist design was created. The round pearl sits within a semi-rub set illusion setting. This gives the appearance that the rose-y metal is wrapping around and gently holding the milky white stone in place.

The design included a deep shank that tapered in to a half collet setting. This was to provide a bold frame for the diamond was also drawing the eye to the solitaire stone. A half collet setting allows extra light to enter the diamond through it’s open sides too, so it was all about picking the perfect diamond!
